The 6 Most Import Factors to Consider when creating a website for Your Brand.

I got series of emails and messages from people who watched this video (How to Build Free Websites with Google Sites in 3 Minutes), most of which happens to be gratitude messages and request for my recommendation on what factors to consider when creating a website for a brand.

Hello, Charles

Thank you for the video tutorial on how to Build Free Websites with Google Sites in 3 Minutes.
It was an answered prayer.
I’m about to publish my site, what do you think I need to consider before publishing. I’ll be glad
to have your recommendations, please.

The 6 Most Import Factors to Consider when creating a website for Your Brand

1. Niche Market

Consider where your audiences are geographically and how informed they are about your business, and consistently create contents that they can relate with them based on their environment, age range, gender, and language. Identify and understand your audience (customers), and create what appeals to them.

2. Customer’s Experience

Consider what it will be like if you are the visitor on your own website. What will you do if the page doesn’t load on time because of heavy graphics and video? What will you do if the website is not responsive and doesn’t display well on your mobile device? What will you do if you find it hard to navigate the website and can’t find the information you are looking for… Re-think and Re-view your website from a third-person perspective and work on creating convenience, easy accessibility, and flexibility for your website visitors (customers).

3. CTA (Call to Action)

A lot of business owners miss this one but you shouldn’t. Call to actions are like motivational buttons to trigger your customers into taking favorable actions on your website. Think about the purpose of your website and what actions you want people to take when they visit. Draft a captivating call to action and include it on your site to encourage visitors to engage with your brand.

4. Communication Systems

Don’t communicate ‘to’ your customers – communicate with them. Communication in business is a two-way thing, your visitors have questions to ask and problems to solve and you need to provide systems that can make them contribute and communicate with you on the website. Try including a contact/feedback form, and Chabot for instant messaging.

5. Security

Security is a big deal when it comes to the internet and websites. If you will be accepting payments on your website please use a reliable third-party merchant with secure payment gateways or purchase a SSL certificate for your site and use (HTTPS) secure transfer protocols to protect your customers’ data when they perform transactions or exchange sensitive data on your site (You don’t want to be held responsible).

6. SEO and Marketing Strategy

Your website won’t promote itself to just appear on people’s screens or Google’s first page, you need to design, implement, and effectively manage SEO/SEM strategy that will optimize your website for search engines like Google (so that people can find you when they search) and advertise what you do to people who want to buy from you. You can hire an expert to help you or find a Trainer to teach you.
